First pipes coming out of the workshop

Well, I guess it is a good news - first batch of pipes is nearly done. Some pieces were discarded and will go for sandblasting or rustication, but most of it goes smooth! Here is one Rhodesian Rustic, that went to my friend Enrico in Italy. More to come these days! Regards to all that made this project happens!

Final sanding and polishing

Well, the first batch is nearly finished, most of the pipes are ready for final sanding, staining and polishing. Hopefuly I will be able to ship the first opipes till the end of the week.

Visit from a friend

My friend Robert (he is British) came in town, so if you don't like the video, it is him to blame for .-)
It was pretty difficult to convine him to let that Poker go...
Meanwhile, my aspiration unit is back to life - everything fixed and running.

Aspiration unit broken...

My aspiration unit got broken yesterday, and now there are parts of it all around on the floor. Will have to wait till Monday to get the spare part of the ventilator I need. Meanwhile here are some more shots of the first shapes done:

Here are some pictures of recent work done. The bowls are turned and the second cooling chamber with the cone hole for Spigot fitting are done as well. As you can see, some of the block are with stems fitted already. A big sanding time is coming...

Calabash Poker prototype finished!

Well, after long wondering and playing with the shape I think I finally got the proportions I wanted. Below are some pics of the first finished Poker, as well as few shots from the bench. Be well!!

Well, after loooooong waiting finally I've got the stems today, so I can continue working at full speed! Here are some more pics of the pipes in progress.

I am thinking of preparing a small printbook with picsof the history of the pipes as a small bonus for all the guys that made this happen!
